PA Town Hall Meeting in D.C.

DC88 member, Beth Cooper, L2345, spoke about her father's recent hospital stay (DC88 Director Robert Cooper) and the fellow patient he met suffering physically, mentally and financially because he was without healthcare.  "Tell your legislatures...You have it - we want it!"

Sen. Schwartz:  "This time we're gonna get it done!"

Rep. Sestak (L) spoke about the illness of his daughter and his good fortune to have good healthcare.  "Everybody should have the healthcare I do.  It's one of the main reasons I got into politics."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                                                                                      

Physicians, nurses and medical students came forward

 to speak out against the position of the American Medical Association (AMA)

and proclaim their advocacy for Americans to have the choice

of a public insurance plan.

 

Sen. Specter said he agrees that health care is a right and believes health care legislation will pass and will include a public option component.
