Council 13 regretfully reports the death of Gerri Jackson, President of Local 2244 (First Level Supervisors in District Council 88) and Vice President Representing District Council 88 on Council 13's Executive Board. Jackson died suddenly of a heart attack on Tuesday, February 20th at her home.

"I knew Gerri for many years," says Executive Director David Fillman, who was the Staff Representative for Jackson's Local Union before becoming Director of District Council 88. "She was AFSCME through and through. She always made the union a priority in her life."

Jackson worked for the Commonwealth for more than 40 years, and joined AFSCME in 1968.
