City of Reading Employees Decorate City Hall

Scott Leach, Treasurer of Local 2763, convinced the Local to start a new holiday tradition: decorating the Eighth Street entrance of Reading's City Hall.

"The 8th Street side of the building is so beautiful looking, with the marble and the plants. It was never decorated, so I came up with the idea," says Leach. President Ron Lyons agreed, and the Local set up an Action Committee to handle the decoration.

"We would like to start a tradition, and do this every special holiday to bring the spirit and pride back to City Hall," noted Leach.
