AFSCME Council 13 Convention POSTPONED

The 48th annual AFSCME Council 13 Convention, originally scheduled for April 24-26, has been postponed in response to the coronavirus outbreak. No new date has yet been set.

This decision was made with great reluctance, but it is in the best interest of the health and safety of the hundreds of members, guests, and leaders who attend this convention every year.

As everyone knows, this is an emerging, rapidly evolving situation. With cases in Pennsylvania continuing to rise, as well as recommendations from state and federal officials, it is best not to have such a large gathering at any time in the near future.

Please continue to monitor AFSCME13.org and Council 13’s social media (Facebook and Twitter) for further updates. If you have any questions or concerns about this or any other matter, please call Council 13’s Member Resource Center at 1-800-523-7263.

AFSCME International has compiled a webpage with resources that address how to keep yourself and your family safe, including resources that specifically address concerns public service workers may have. That can be found at www.afscme.org/covid-19.
