The union has your back, even in uncertain and difficult times. Through Union Plus’s Hardship Help programs, the United Way’s extensive resources, and Unemployment Compensation, union members and their families can get through hard times.

Union Plus is here to help union members and their families through times of uncertainty with unique Hardship Help benefits. They offer financial and health resources including, but not limited to, strike benefits, layoff assistance, debt management, credit counseling,  legal help, mortgage assistance, disaster relief grants, medical bill negotiating service, and disability benefits. The United Way of Pennsylvania has a multitude of resources for struggling families. The best way to find what works for you is through “Pennsylvania 211.” From help with a utilities bill, to housing assistance, after-school programs for kids, and more, you can dial 211 or text your zip code to #898-211 to talk with a resource specialist for free. Their specialists will listen to your needs, and give you information on programs in your community that might be able to help. You can view the guided 211 search page here to explore programs available in your community by categories such as financial assistance, housing, and food.
