Pay raises for commonwealth employees to be retroacted upon IFO approval

Many Commonwealth of Pennsylvania employees have reached out to AFSCME Council 13 concerning the three percent general pay increase that is scheduled to go into effect for July 2019.

Employees will receive retroactive pay for that increase upon final approval of the recently ratified four-year agreement by the Independent Fiscal Office (IFO) and signature by union and commonwealth officials.

In accordance with Senate Bill 644, which was passed on April 6, 2016, the commonwealth must submit the new collective bargaining agreement to the IFO for a final cost analysis.

Barring any issues arising from the IFO review, the contract signing is expected to take place in late August or early September.

Council 13 has done everything in its power to move this process along as quickly as possible while adhering to the various regulations that it entails. Please continue to monitor AFSCME13.org for any further updates.
